Wonderful Vintage Taxidermy of a Russian Wild Boar Piglet or Shoat
An unusual find indeed. This is a vintage Russian wild boar piglet or shoat that has been beautifully preserved.
The scientific name for this piglet is Sus Scrofa.
The Russian Wild Boar is also known as the Eurasian Boar. Eurasian boar are native to Europe and Asia.
Known as Russian boar, wild boar, razorback, wild hog, razorback, or feral swine, wild boar have become invasive and can represent a great threat to many lands.
This piglet is free standing. We have added pinned rolled wool to the underside for stability.
A wonderful find and great for the collector of odd things.
