This is a fairly old vintage rustic linen grain sack from the Bemis Company, that held the "Honor" brand of Alfalfa variety. The provenance is probably 1950s as the sack has some period antique styling with a blue/purple ticking stripe with lighter red ticking stripes on each side.
The sack has natural stains, slight holes and is worn wonderfully, and as to be expected from a 60 year old vintage item. There is a small stamp on the back side, perhaps the lot number "E. with some other numbers. The grain sack is clean and odor free.
A nice large sack, perfect for display, or can be repurposed into pillow covers, chair back or seat cushion. There is a small defunct draw string at the top of one side.
A lovely find!
