A magnificent one of a kind handmade needle felted wool tapestry portrait of a Gypsy Horse Stallion. This labor of love is very time consuming and each wool fiber has
been hand placed and woven into the portrait for an amazing three dimensional effect. The portrait actually has horse hair whiskers and a thick mane that her been rolled into position.
This needle felted tapestry was felted onto a forest green wool felt background and then mounted to a foam core backing. A custom shadow box was made with a beautiful architectural trim
and a glass front to protect the wool permanently.
The shadow box has rubber bumpers so it can be displayed on a table top and also has hangers so it can be hung on the wall. The glass front has been hinged on one side and has a clasp on the other to keep the needle felting clean and protected.
This tapestry is a portrait of one of my absolute favorite Gypsy Cob Stallions that has a sweet personality to match his great beauty.
