Tiny Newborn Antique Spotted Fawn Taxidermy Mount from Germany
The best find ever, for me!! I am always looking out with a keen eye for the most unusual and this was an incredible and rare find indeed!!
The sweetest newborn spotted fawn taxidermy mount in exceptional condition for it's age!! I would imagine this little fellow was stillborn
and the fawn was discovered in Germany so it could be a Red Deer or a Roe Deer fawn. The form is hand made, weighted and done with great care and detailing.
The taxidermy was done in the 1940's and has some minor cracking around the mouth. The ears also have some cracking but nothing that takes away from this precious baby.
I am in love with all baby animals but vintage fawn mounts are extremely hard to come by. The hide was hand stitched and again the workmanship is exceptional.
