Authentic Antique Tetley Heritage 'The Black Horse' English Pub Sign
A rare find indeed! An incredible antique "The Black Horse" pub sign. The Black Horse pub was designated one of the original 'Tetley's Heritage Pubs' and is very famous. This sign has been well protected for years in a private collection.
This pub dates back to the 19th century in North Yorkshire UK and is very well known to history buffs.
The Tetley brewery dates from 1822 and became one of the leading industries in West Yorkshire. The fame of the beer spread far and wide. Tetley Bitter lived up to its name. It was so bitter and hoppy that it made one's eyeballs pop. It was simply amazing.
This is an original very old pub sign that still boasts it's original paint on metal. The sign is wonderfully time worn and has been carefully framed to be hung above the pub. At some point two brass hangers have been added to the top for hanging.
A very rare opportunity to own a bit of English history. Very very special.
