This is a beautiful example of a fine English Nickel Silver Plate Antique from 1922. This was a plate used to serve and carve
bread. It has a lovely ornate scalloped detail around the edge. The wooden carving board looks to be a maple wood.
The silver is hallmarked with a series of letters that tells it's history. This plate has EPNS 31448 meaning it was made in Sheffield in 1922 and is Electroplated Nickel Silver. This was a makers mark from the craftsman Frederick C. Asman who worked in Sheffield from 1905 - 1933.
A lovely collectable and a beautiful find min excellent condition.
